MondoChallenge was established in 2001 and over the years, we have sent more than 1000 career break volunteers to projects across the globe, where they have contributed to improving the lives of underprivileged communities.
Our Mission:
To excel in providing overseas assignments supporting the development of local communities and organisations through ethical and sustainable programmes.
Our volunteer work programmes are based on cooperation with local NGOs and charities, who help us to coordinate volunteer projects in developing communities. We strive to identify projects in genuine need of support to ensure that volunteers have a meaningful impact during their placement. By taking part in our voluntary work, volunteers can help improve the lives of people affected by poverty, crime, disease and other critical development issues.
Our volunteering projects are designed to give volunteers a unique career break experience, where they can immerse themselves in local cultures and form special bonds with the community in which they work.
MondoChallenge volunteers can teach English abroad, volunteer in childcare, support business development and women’s empowerment, or assist community development projects across a range of locations and socio-economic circumstances.
From humble beginnings back in 2001, we now offer volunteering work on over 100 different projects, based in 21 unique locations, across 9 amazing countries and spanning four continents. Career break volunteers can work in Chile, Ecuador, Gambia, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Senegal or Romania across Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.
