Volunteer livelihoods projects and programmes abroad
MondoChallenge runs unique livelihood voluntary programmes that support individuals from the poorest sections of society live a life of dignity. Many of the families supported by our career break volunteers, have lost the main breadwinner and are suffering from HIV/AIDS. Skilled business professionals on a career break join this volunteer programme to help these individuals set up a small business to secure a decent livelihood for themselves and their families.
Career break volunteers on the Livelihoods Programmes fulfil various roles they provide business training, disburse small financial grants (raised through our Livelihood Grants Fund), provide ongoing support on business issues to the participating so as to enable them to generate a sustainable and consistent income.
