Career break tripZanzibar is an exotic island laying off mainland Tanzania, an ideal destination to relax after a career break project. Starting in Stone Town, the capital is brimming with history from its days as a major trading port, you can wander through the winding alleys and discover the gracious old buildings and shop at colourful bazaars. Then at Nungwi beach white sands and warm turquoise waters offer a great combination of relaxation and beach activities. If you like snorkelling or diving there are excellent opportunities here with prolific fish life and colourful corals.

This career break journey starts and ends at the airport or port in Zanzibar.

What’s Included?

  • Accommodation: Comfortable hotel accommodation on twin share basis.
  • Travel: Fly from Arusha or Dar to the island. Or take the ferry from Dar.
  • Food: In Stone Town accommodation is on bed and breakfast basis. There are many excellent places to eat locally at reasonable prices.
    In Nungwi the breakfast and dinner are included.

The itinerary

Day 1 - Stone Town - Zanzibar

Arrive in Zanzibar. Transfer to your hotel in central Stone Town. There is much to see in this historic town, once the centre of the slave and spice trades in this region.

Overnight: Chavda Hotel

 

Day 2 - Stone Town - Zanzibar

A full day to explore Stone Town. Wander in the maze of streets discovering markets, museums and the beach front littered with old wooden sailing dhows.

Day 3 - Nungwi Beach - Zanzibar

Drive to the northern tip of the island for your beach stay. Your hotel name Mnarani means Lighthouse in Swahili. This lovely beachfront hotel has water sports facilities including kayaks, snorkelling, kite surfing and windsurfing (additional cost). There is also a sauna and massage facility.

Overnight: Mnarani Beach Cottages

 

Day 4 - Nungwi Beach - Zanzibar

A full day for relaxation. Perhaps take a diving or snorkelling trip.

Overnight: Mnarani Beach Cottages

 

Day 5 - Nungwi Beach - Zanzibar

A full day for relaxation. Perhaps take a cruise on a traditional Dhow sailing boat.

Overnight: Mnarani Beach Cottages

 

Day 6 - Nungwi Beach - Zanzibar

A full day for relaxation. Take a kayak and explore the coast line.

Overnight: Mnarani Beach Cottages

 

Day 7 - Nungwi Beach - Zanzibar

You can spend this morning on the beach and then transfer back to Stone Town for your departure.
